BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio — Logan County voters head to the polls today, Tuesday, November 3, for the 2026 general election, with polls open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at assigned polling locations across the county, according to the Logan County Board of Elections.

The board’s office is at 225 South Main Street in Bellefontaine, and voters with questions can reach it at 937-599-7255, according to the board’s listing with the Ohio Secretary of State. Sample ballots for the November 3 general election have been available through the board’s voter lookup, and Election Day voters must vote at their assigned polling location rather than at the board office, the board has reminded voters.

Two issues appear on the countywide ballot, the Logan County Chronicle reported in its early-voting coverage: a five-year, 2-mill additional levy requested by the Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and a five-year renewal levy requested by the county commissioners for the 0.5 percent sales and use tax. Bellefontaine City Schools voters also decide a 1 percent earned income tax that would begin collections January 1, 2027, if approved, the Chronicle reported.

The only contested countywide race is for Logan County Family Court Judge, for a term commencing February 9, 2027 — a race between sisters-in-law Sarah J. Warren and Miranda Warren, according to the Logan County Chronicle. Logan County voters also cast ballots in Ohio’s statewide races, including governor and U.S. senator, and on statewide Issue 3.

Logan County went into Election Day with some of the strongest early turnout in Ohio. On Friday, October 30, the Logan County Board of Elections reported that 32.45 percent of all registered voters in the county had already voted — the highest turnout among all counties in Ohio at that point — and that 56 percent of registered Republicans in the county had participated in absentee voting, according to the Logan County Chronicle’s report of the candidates’ stop in Bellefontaine, which also noted the board later clarified an earlier incorrect turnout percentage.

One deadline matters for anyone still holding a mail ballot: under Senate Bill 293, signed into law in December 2025, absentee ballots must be received by the close of polls on Election Day to be counted, with an exception for military and overseas voters — there is no longer a grace period after Election Day, The Columbus Dispatch reported. The Dispatch listed the Logan County board office at 225 S. Main St. in Bellefontaine as the county’s drop-off location for ballots returned in person by 7:30 p.m. tonight.
