FREMONT — Residents across nine northwest and north-central Ohio counties will get a say in the future of local transportation this fall, as Mobility Management, a service of the Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP), hosts transportation advisory committee meetings in November and December. The meetings are open to the public, and virtual attendance options are available for every session.
The county committees discuss gaps in local transportation services and develop strategies to better meet local transit needs — the ride services residents rely on to reach work, medical appointments, and daily errands, which can be hard to come by in rural areas. Mobility Management helps counties better coordinate those transportation services for the people who use them.
The schedule opens in Sandusky County on Tuesday, November 10 at 2 p.m. at TRIPS, 2317 Countryside Drive in Fremont. Seneca County follows on Thursday, November 12 at 2 p.m. at NCAT, 3446 Infirmary Road in Tiffin. Morrow County meets on Tuesday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m. at Morrow County Job and Family Services, 619 West Marion Street, #16, in Mount Gilead.
Erie County’s committee meets Wednesday, November 25 at 2 p.m. at the Erie County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 4405 Galloway Road in Sandusky. Marion County meets Tuesday, December 1 at 2 p.m. at the Marion Senior Center, 2375 Harding Highway East in Marion, and Crawford County meets Wednesday, December 2 at 2 p.m. at the Crawford Success Center, 130 North Walnut Street in Bucyrus.
Ottawa County meets Thursday, December 3 at 2 p.m. in The Quarries Conference Room at The Resource Centre, 8043 West State Route 163 in Oak Harbor. Wood County meets Wednesday, December 9 at 2 p.m. at Wood County Job and Family Services, 1928 East Gypsy Lane Road in Bowling Green, and Huron County closes the schedule on Thursday, December 10 at 2 p.m. at Huron County Job and Family Services, 185 Shady Lane Drive in Norwalk.
Anyone who cannot attend in person can take part virtually. Call 419-333-5081 for information on how to access the virtual option for your county’s meeting.
