Early voting in Clinton County enters its final week on Monday, with in-person absentee voting resuming at the Clinton County Board of Elections, 111 S. Nelson Ave., Suite 4, in Wilmington, ahead of the Tuesday, Nov. 3 general election. It is the second-pass election update for the county in NewsForce247’s county-by-county coverage.

Under the Ohio Secretary of State’s statewide early-voting schedule, the Wilmington office takes in-person ballots Monday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. — the longest day of the final week. Voting continues Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 28-30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There is no early voting on Monday, Nov. 2. Voters who are still in line when a session is scheduled to end are allowed to vote, and early ballots are cast at the board office, not at a voter’s Election Day precinct.

Tuesday, Oct. 27, is also a deadline day: absentee ballot applications must be received by the county board by 8:30 p.m. that evening. Voters voting by mail should return completed ballots so they are received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3 — a receipt deadline, not a mailing date.

Clinton County voters first appeared in this coverage on Oct. 18, when the county’s ballot — including Wilmington rezoning referendums and local levy renewals — was previewed. The final-week update is about logistics: where to go, when the doors are open, and which deadlines fall before Election Day itself.

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls across Clinton County and Ohio are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters must vote at their assigned precinct polling place that day. Voters should bring a valid photo ID for both early and Election Day voting.
