Early in-person voting for the November 3 general election enters its final week in Clark County on Monday, with voting at the Clark County Board of Elections office at 3130 E. Main Street in Springfield.
Final-week hours expand under the statewide schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 26; 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27; 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, October 28 to 30; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 31; and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, according to the board and the Ohio Secretary of State.
Tuesday, October 27, is also the statewide deadline: absentee ballot applications must be received by the board of elections by 8:30 p.m. that day, the Secretary of State’s office says.
Clark County voters are deciding two county commissioner seats this fall, along with a five-year, 1.0-mill renewal levy for the Clark County Combined Health District that the county Board of Health certified to the commissioners earlier this year.
Countywide tax questions also include the Clark County Park District levy and the sales-tax question to fund a new county jail and public safety building, alongside school board races in districts including Springfield City, Northwestern, Greenon and Northeastern.
At the top of every Clark County ballot are Ohio’s statewide races, including governor and lieutenant governor, U.S. Senator, attorney general, auditor, secretary of state, treasurer and the Ohio Supreme Court seats, plus statewide Issue 3.
Voters who have not yet cast a ballot can vote early at the Main Street office through Sunday, vote by mail with a ballot requested by Tuesday’s deadline, or vote at their polling place on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, when polls are open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The board can be reached at 937-521-2120.
The board’s Main Street vote center is Clark County’s only early in-person location, and voters should bring identification to the vote center. Absentee voters can also return applications and ballots using the board’s drop box, and can track an application or ballot through the state’s absentee lookup tool.
This is a second-pass election story for Clark County: NewsForce247 profiled the county’s full November 3 ballot earlier in the cycle, and this update tracks the final week of early voting from the board of elections and the Secretary of State as Election Day approaches.
