Beehive Industries is adding a second facility in Loveland, a $70 million investment in Southwest Ohio that is expected to create more than 200 jobs. The new operation will be located on Northeast Drive in Loveland’s Commerce Park, giving the company an expanded presence in the city as it grows its work in Southwest Ohio.
The expansion was announced by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, JobsOhio and REDI Cincinnati during the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom. Announcing a Southwest Ohio project at an international airshow underscored the aerospace and defense focus of the work Beehive plans to grow in Loveland, and placed the city’s name in front of a global industry audience.
The Northeast Drive operation will join Beehive’s existing Loveland site, its Research and Development Center of Excellence on Wards Corner Road. That facility opened in August 2025 and employs about 100 workers, meaning Beehive already has an established workforce and research operation in the city less than a year and a half after that center opened.
Beehive designs and manufactures additively manufactured jet engines for uncrewed aerial defense applications. Additive manufacturing builds components layer by layer rather than cutting them from larger pieces of material, and Beehive applies that approach to propulsion systems designed for uncrewed aircraft used in defense work.
The Loveland expansion is part of a wider company footprint that extends well beyond Ohio. Beehive employs about 500 people across Colorado, Ohio and Tennessee, and the new Southwest Ohio investment adds to that total with more than 200 expected jobs tied to the second Loveland site alone.
For Loveland, the project means a single employer will operate two separate facilities in the city, one focused on research and development on Wards Corner Road and a second operation in Commerce Park on Northeast Drive. That combination pairs the engineering and development work at the existing center with a new site in one of the city’s designated business areas.
The announcement also continues a run of attention on Loveland’s role in Ohio’s aerospace and defense economy. With about 100 workers already at the Wards Corner Road center and more than 200 jobs expected from the $70 million Northeast Drive investment, Beehive’s combined Loveland presence is set to become a significant part of the company’s operations across its three states.
