Holmes County voters can cast early ballots from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this week, Monday through Friday, October 19 to 23, at the Holmes County Board of Elections office in Millersburg ahead of the November 3, 2026 general election. Early in-person voting began on October 6, and the board office is the county’s early voting location for voters who want to cast a ballot in person before Election Day.
The board office is located at 75 E Clinton St # 108, Millersburg, OH 44654. Voters with questions can reach the office by phone at (330) 674-5921 or by email at [email protected]. The board’s regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but early voting hours are separate from regular office hours and run later this week, until 5 p.m. each weekday.
Early voting continues on Saturday, October 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and hours expand in the final week before the election. Voting runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, and from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Wednesday, October 28 through Friday, October 30. The final weekend offers voting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, which is the last early voting session. There is no early voting on Monday, November 2.
Voters who prefer to vote by mail should note the absentee deadlines. Absentee voting by mail also began on October 6. Absentee ballot applications must be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. Completed absentee ballots must be received by the board before polls close at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, November 3. Ballots from military and overseas voters must be received by November 7.
Voters who wait until Election Day will vote on Tuesday, November 3, when polls across Ohio are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The expanded final-week hours give Holmes County residents several chances to vote early in the morning, in the evening, and on the final weekend.
Before heading to vote, residents can check their registration and preview what will be on their ballot through the Ohio Secretary of State and VoteOhio. Sample ballots vary by precinct, and Holmes County voters will also decide local races and issues on their precinct ballots, so reviewing a sample ballot in advance can help voters research their choices before they arrive at the board office or at the polls.
What happens next is a steady build toward Election Day. This week’s 8-to-5 schedule gives way to the longer final-week hours starting October 26, the absentee application deadline falls on October 27, and early voting ends on the afternoon of November 1. Voters who have not cast a ballot by then will need to return a mailed absentee ballot by the Election Day deadline or vote in person on November 3.
