Early in-person voting enters its final week in Clermont County on Monday, with voters casting ballots at the Clermont County Board of Elections, 76 S. Riverside Drive in Batavia, ahead of the Tuesday, Nov. 3 general election. The board is the county’s sole early-voting location, under the statewide schedule set by the Ohio Secretary of State.
Hours expand for the final week. Voting runs Monday, Oct. 26 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 28-30 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The final weekend offers Saturday, Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. There is no in-person early voting on Monday, Nov. 2.
Tuesday, Oct. 27 is also a key deadline: absentee ballot applications must be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. that night. Voters returning a voted absentee ballot must have it received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day — a postmark alone does not count under current Ohio law — or return it in person to the board office or its drop box.
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls across Clermont County are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters must vote at their assigned precinct polling location and present an acceptable photo ID. Voters can check their registration, view a sample ballot and confirm their polling place through the board of elections or the Secretary of State’s voter lookup tools before heading out.
Statewide, early voting has been underway since Oct. 6. Through Oct. 15, the Secretary of State’s dashboard counted 452,210 early votes cast across Ohio, including 310,289 in person at county boards. In Clermont, Butler and Warren counties combined, more than 35,500 ballots had been returned by that point, reflecting heavy suburban turnout in the Cincinnati area’s eastern counties.
Clermont County voters are deciding contested races and issues at the federal, state, county and local levels on the Nov. 3 ballot, alongside Ohio’s statewide races and statewide Issue 3. Because this is a second-pass update in NewsForce247’s county-by-county election coverage, the focus here is on voting logistics — where, when and how to cast a ballot — rather than a repeat of the county’s first-pass ballot preview.
Board officials can be reached at (513) 732-7275 for questions about early voting, absentee ballots or Election Day locations. With hours at their longest this week and the absentee application deadline falling Tuesday night, officials encourage voters who plan to vote early to use the weekday evening hours to avoid the final-weekend lines in Batavia.
