ZANESVILLE — Muskingum County residents are coming together this weekend to help neighbors still recovering from recent flooding. “Come Together: A Community Recovery Benefit” runs from noon to midnight Saturday at the Zanesville Moose Lodge, with proceeds benefiting flood victims in Crooksville, Roseville and surrounding communities through the Muskingum County Community Foundation.

The 12-hour event will feature live music from six bands — the Old Guyz Band with Tracy Blaine, the Donnelly Quinn Band, Southern Alibi, Salvage Title, Straight Jacket and Chicken Fat Cadillac — along with food, raffles, auctions and other activities running through the day and night.

Organizers describe the benefit as a grassroots answer to the damage flooding left across smaller Muskingum County communities, where families are still cleaning up and rebuilding. The Community Foundation will direct money raised to residents hit hardest by the storms.

The Moose Lodge opens its doors at noon Saturday, and organizers encourage anyone able to give — or simply to enjoy a day of music — to stop by. Every donation, they say, will make a difference for neighbors working to get back on their feet.
