Morrow County voters are in the final week of early voting for the Nov. 3 general election, with in-person ballots being cast at the Morrow County Board of Elections, 619 W. Marion Road, Room 146A, in Mount Gilead, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s early-voting directory.

Tuesday, Oct. 27, is one of the longest days of the early-voting calendar: the board is open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday is also the statewide deadline for boards of elections to receive absentee ballot applications for this election, under the Secretary of State’s voting schedule.

The final-week schedule continues Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 28 to 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., then Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 5 p.m. There is no in-person early voting on Monday, Nov. 2, the day before Election Day.

Morrow County’s Nov. 3 ballot, as listed in the Board of Elections’ official election notice, includes the statewide executive offices, a U.S. Senate race and congressional race, the 87th District state representative seat, two Ohio Supreme Court seats, and county races including county commissioner and county auditor, along with statewide Issue 3.

Voters who have already received a mail ballot can return it by mail or deliver it to the board office or its drop box. Under Ohio’s schedule, voted absentee ballots must reach the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, to be counted.

Election Day itself is Tuesday, Nov. 3, when Morrow County precinct polling places — not the board office — are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voters who are in line when a voting session is scheduled to end are still allowed to cast a ballot.

Voters can confirm their registration, precinct and what is on their ballot through the Morrow County Board of Elections or the Secretary of State’s voter tools before they go. Casting a ballot this week, during the extended final-week hours, is the surest way to avoid Election Day lines in Mount Gilead and across Morrow County.
