McCONNELSVILLE, Ohio — Morgan County voters are in the final two days of early in-person voting this weekend before the Tuesday, Nov. 3 general election, with the county Board of Elections open Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and for a final session Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 5 p.m., according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule.
Early voting takes place at the Morgan County Board of Elections, 155 E. Main St., Room 157, in McConnelsville, according to the Secretary of State’s early voting locations directory. There is no early voting on Monday, Nov. 2, and polls across the county are open on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Mail voters face a hard deadline this year. Absentee ballots must be received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, to be counted — there is no longer a four-day grace period after Election Day, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule. Voters still holding a completed ballot should deliver it to the board office on East Main Street rather than risk the mail in the final days.
Morgan County voters are deciding contested courthouse races, judgeships and local levies and issues, along with statewide Issue 3 and Ohio’s eight statewide races. The county’s first-pass election story in this series outlined the courthouse offices on the ballot; this final weekend is about turnout — every vote cast early is one fewer line on Tuesday.
Early in-person voting began Oct. 6 statewide, and the Secretary of State’s schedule sets the same closing weekend in every Ohio county: Saturday hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday hours of 1 to 5 p.m. Voters must bring an accepted photo ID to vote early in person or on Election Day.
What happens next: early voting ends at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1. After that, the only way to vote in Morgan County is at your assigned precinct polling place on Tuesday, Nov. 3, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., or by returning a completed absentee ballot to the board office by 7:30 p.m. that night.
