Marion County voters have two days of early in-person voting left before Election Day, with the Board of Elections at 222 West Center St. in Marion open Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 5 p.m., according to the Marion County Board of Elections. Sunday is the final day of early voting anywhere in Ohio, and there is no early voting on Monday, Nov. 2.

The board’s published schedule shows early voting ran from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday of this week, the last full weekdays of the early period. The Marion County Board of Elections can be reached at 740-223-4090, and its office at 222 W. Center St. also serves as the county’s drop-off location for completed absentee ballots.

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls across Marion County will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule. Voters who cast ballots in person vote at their designated precinct polling place, and the board’s website offers a polling-place lookup for Marion County voters who are unsure where they vote.

Absentee voting by mail is now in its final stretch. The deadline to request an absentee ballot passed on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 8:30 p.m., and under Ohio law — including Senate Bill 293, signed in December 2025 — non-military absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted, The Columbus Dispatch reported. Military and overseas voters’ ballots have until Saturday, Nov. 7, to arrive by mail.

Because of that Election Day receipt deadline, Secretary of State Frank LaRose said on Oct. 27 that it might already be too late to mail a ballot back and have it arrive in time, according to Cleveland.com reporting cited by The Columbus Dispatch. Marion County voters still holding a completed absentee ballot can deliver it in person to the Board of Elections office at 222 W. Center St. instead of mailing it.

Marion County voters will decide on the statewide races and statewide Issue 3 on the Nov. 3 ballot alongside their local races, levies and issues. Voters can preview their sample ballot and confirm their registration through the Ohio Secretary of State’s voter lookup tools before heading to vote early this weekend or on Election Day.

What happens next is the close of early voting at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Board of Elections, followed by Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Unofficial results will be reported by the Marion County Board of Elections after polls close Tuesday night.
