Hocking County voters in Logan are entering the final days of early in-person voting for the Nov. 3 general election, with the Hocking County Board of Elections at 93 W. Hunter St. in Logan open Friday, Oct. 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the board’s published early voting hours.
Early voting continues Saturday, Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., according to the Hocking County Board of Elections. There is no early in-person voting on Monday, Nov. 2.
Voters who have not cast a ballot by the end of Sunday will vote on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, at their assigned polling place, where polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s voting schedule.
Mail ballots carry a new deadline this year. Non-UOCAVA absentee ballots must be received by the voter’s board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 to be counted, according to the Ohio Secretary of State. The deadline to request an absentee ballot was 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 27.
Hocking County voters can return a completed mail ballot in person to the board office at 93 W. Hunter St. in Logan before the close of polls on Election Day, or check their sample ballot and precinct assignment through the Secretary of State’s voter lookup tools.
This second-pass election story for Hocking County is part of NewsForce247’s coverage of every Ohio county ahead of Nov. 3. The county’s first-pass ballot preview was published earlier in the rotation, and this update focuses on the final early-voting window and the Election Day deadlines that now apply to every Hocking County voter.
Logan is the county seat of Hocking County, and the board office on West Hunter Street is the county’s single early-voting location — every in-person early ballot in the county is cast there, not at a voter’s precinct. Voters should bring an accepted form of photo identification, and anyone still in line when a session is scheduled to end is allowed to vote, under Ohio’s statewide early-voting rules.
What happens next is the close of early voting at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, followed by Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3, when Hocking County voters will decide their races and issues at precinct polling places across the county.
