Fulton County voters head to the polls Tuesday, November 3, to close out the 2026 general election, after in-person early voting wrapped up Sunday, November 1. Polls across the county — from Wauseon and Archbold to Delta, Swanton, Fayette, Lyons, Metamora and Pettisville — will be open Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the Fulton County Board of Elections.
Every Fulton County ballot carries Ohio’s statewide races — governor, attorney general, auditor, secretary of state, treasurer, two Ohio Supreme Court seats and U.S. senator — along with statewide Issue 3, the proposed constitutional amendment on photo identification for voters, plus the legislative and judicial races for northwest Ohio districts.
Locally, voters in the Swanton Public Library district, which spans Fulton and Lucas counties, will decide a renewal of the library’s 1-mill tax levy for current expenses. The official ballot language estimates the renewal would collect $220,002 annually at a cost of $22 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for five years commencing in 2026 and first due in 2027. The Ohio Library Council lists Swanton among 11 Ohio libraries seeking levy renewals this November, according to the Columbus Navigator.
Voters in the Evergreen Local School District, centered in Metamora, will also decide a renewal of the district’s 0.25 percent income tax — a measure returning to the ballot after voters rejected the renewal in August, according to ballot explainers prepared from official Lucas County sample ballots.
For voters who still hold an absentee ballot, this year’s rules are unforgiving: under Senate Bill 293, signed by Gov. Mike DeWine in December 2025, absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections by the close of polls at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to be counted — there is no longer a post-Election Day grace period for most voters, the Columbus Dispatch reported. Secretary of State Frank LaRose advised on October 27 that it might already be too late to mail a ballot and have it arrive in time, according to Cleveland.com reporting cited by the Dispatch, so in-person drop-off is the safe route.
The Fulton County Board of Elections is at 135 Courthouse Plaza in Wauseon, with a drop box on the sidewalk by the main entrance for absentee ballots and forms. The board’s office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the board can be reached at (419) 335-6841.
What happens next: polls close at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, and the board of elections will begin releasing unofficial results that evening. NewsForce247 will carry Fulton County’s results as they are reported.
