Early voting for the November 3, 2026 general election is under way in Delaware County, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this week, October 19 through October 23, at the Delaware County Board of Elections. The office, at 2079 U.S. Highway 23 North, Suite 4, Delaware, OH 43015, is the county’s early in-person voting location, according to the Ohio Secretary of State and the county board of elections.
Early voting in Ohio is in-person absentee voting: a voter casts a ballot before Election Day at the board of elections, not at a precinct polling place. Election Day voting on Tuesday, November 3 takes place at precinct polling places, with polls open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The board’s ballot drop box is located behind its building at the same U.S. Highway 23 address.
The statewide schedule expands as Election Day approaches. Early voting continues Saturday, October 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., then Monday, October 26 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, October 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Absentee ballot applications must be received by 8:30 p.m. on October 27.
The final stretch runs October 28 through October 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. each day, followed by October 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The last early in-person day is November 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. After that, remaining voters cast ballots at their precinct on Election Day.
Absentee voting by mail began October 6, and a mailed ballot must be received by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. The voter registration deadline for this election was October 5, so registration for the November 3 election has already closed.
Voters should bring acceptable identification, generally an Ohio photo ID, and check any questions about identification with the board of elections or the Secretary of State before going. Voters can also check their sample ballot through the board’s Ballot Viewer or the Secretary of State in advance, so they can review their races and issues before arriving. No turnout figure for Delaware County had been reported in the state and county information for this story.
For residents voting this week, the essentials are simple: go to the Board of Elections at 2079 U.S. Highway 23 North, Suite 4 in Delaware between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Friday, October 23, bring acceptable identification, and confirm last-minute details with the board or the Secretary of State. Early voting then continues on the expanded statewide schedule through November 1.
