CINCINNATI, Ohio — Joe Burrow accounted for six touchdowns as the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Tennessee Titans 43-36 in overtime on Sunday at Paycor Stadium, capping one of the wildest games of the NFL season, the Bengals reported on Bengals.com.

Cincinnati fell behind 13-0 in the first quarter, then climbed back behind Burrow, who completed 38 of 48 passes for 462 yards and five touchdowns and ran for the winning score — a 9-yard scramble that capped a 70-yard drive on the opening possession of overtime, Bengals.com reported. Cincinnati’s defense then forced a turnover on downs to seal the win, improving the Bengals to 5-2.

Tee Higgins caught 10 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns, including the 18-yard score that tied the game at 36, and Ja’Marr Chase caught 11 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown, Bengals.com reported. It was the fourth time Chase and Higgins have each topped 100 receiving yards in the same game.

Burrow’s day was also a milestone day. His 17-yard touchdown pass to Higgins early in the third quarter was the 175th of his career, making him the third-fastest quarterback in NFL history to reach 175, behind only Patrick Mahomes and Dan Marino, Bengals.com reported. Chase’s 30-yard touchdown in the second quarter was the 60th of his career.

The supporting cast delivered, too. Rookie tight end Jack Endries scored on a 1-yard pass for the first reception and first touchdown of his NFL career, Mike Gesicki caught a 25-yard touchdown for his fifth straight game with a score — the longest such streak by a tight end in Bengals history — and the defense added a safety in the third quarter, Bengals.com reported.

Tennessee did not go quietly. Cam Ward threw for a career-high 304 yards and two touchdowns, and Tony Pollard ran for 117 yards and two scores, according to reporting by The Tennessean and Bengals.com. The Titans fell to 1-7 heading into their off week, The Tennessean reported.

What happens next takes Cincinnati overseas. The Bengals head to Madrid, Spain, to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9, Bengals.com reported — a long trip, but one they will make at 5-2 after a comeback win their quarterback finished himself.
