WAPAKONETA, Ohio — Auglaize County voters have one last chance to vote early in person on Sunday, Nov. 1, before Tuesday’s Nov. 3 general election, according to the Auglaize County Board of Elections and the Ohio Secretary of State’s voting schedule.

Early in-person voting runs Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Auglaize County Board of Elections, 209 S. Blackhoof Street, Suite 205, in Wapakoneta. Early voting ends at 5 p.m. Sunday, and there is no voting at the board office on Monday, Nov. 2, or on Election Day. On Tuesday, Nov. 3, voters cast ballots at their assigned polling locations, open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the board of elections.

Auglaize County’s Nov. 3 ballot includes the countywide and local races and issues shown on the board of elections’ official sample ballots for each precinct, together with the district races for state representative and the courts that cover Auglaize County. Voters can review their own precinct’s sample ballot through the board of elections before heading to the polls.

Every Auglaize County voter also decides the statewide races on all Ohio ballots — governor, attorney general, auditor, secretary of state, treasurer, two Ohio Supreme Court seats and U.S. senator — and statewide Issue 3, the proposed constitutional amendment to require voters to present photo identification. Ohio law already requires a valid photo ID to vote in person.

Absentee voters face a hard deadline this year. Under Senate Bill 293, signed in December 2025, completed absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections no later than 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3 — there is no longer a grace period for most ballots, with different provisions for military and overseas voters. Secretary of State Frank LaRose warned on Oct. 27 that it might already be too late to mail a ballot and have it arrive in time. Auglaize County voters still holding a completed ballot should hand-deliver it to 209 S. Blackhoof Street in Wapakoneta rather than mailing it.

The absentee ballot request deadline has already passed — it was Oct. 27 at 8:30 p.m., according to the Auglaize County Board of Elections — so voters who have not yet cast a ballot and do not already hold an absentee ballot have two paths left: early in person in Wapakoneta on Sunday afternoon, or their assigned polling place on Tuesday.

What happens next: early voting ends at 5 p.m. Sunday. After that, the only ways to vote in this election are in person at your assigned polling place on Tuesday, Nov. 3, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., or by hand-delivering a completed absentee ballot to the board office in Wapakoneta before polls close that evening.
