The Schottenstein Center is keeping Columbus guessing. Ohio State’s arena posted a cryptic, orange-tinted teaser on social media this week and promised a full announcement today — Friday, November 6 — without saying what is coming. The venue, home to Ohio State basketball and hockey and one of the busiest concert stops in Ohio, rarely promotes a single post this hard, which is part of why the hint has drawn so much attention.

In a post on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, the Schottenstein Center wrote: “Something is coming… Things are looking a little ORANGE around here! We’ve got an announcement this Friday (11/6), and you won’t want to miss this one!” The message ran alongside an orange-tinted photo of the arena, and the venue offered no other details about what the announcement will involve.

The Columbus Dispatch, which reported on the teaser on Thursday, said speculation is leaning toward Bulls, Bands, & Barrels — a touring show that combines professional rodeo-style action, including bull riding, with a country music concert. The Dispatch noted that the theory fits the calendar: the tour’s 2027 lineup is set to be announced on November 6, the same day the Schottenstein Center has circled for its reveal.

The color is another part of the puzzle. According to the Dispatch, the Bulls, Bands, & Barrels tour’s branding is heavily accented in orange, which would explain the arena’s orange-tinted photo and its emphasis on the word “ORANGE” in the teaser post. The Schottenstein Center, which opened in 1998, hosts dozens of concerts and special events each year in addition to Buckeyes games, so a national tour stop would be a familiar kind of booking for the building.

Columbus is not the only city seeing orange. The Dispatch reported that arenas in Lincoln, Nebraska; Worcester, Massachusetts; Ridgedale, Missouri; and Lexington, Kentucky, have posted matching orange teasers of their own — a pattern that points to a coordinated multi-city tour announcement rather than a one-off Columbus event, if the speculation proves correct.

Fans commenting on the venue’s post have floated other theories, including country star Zach Bryan, whose hit song “Something in the Orange” gives the color clue an entirely different meaning. All of it, for now, is guesswork: none of the theories — Zach Bryan, Bulls, Bands, & Barrels, or any other — has been confirmed, and the Schottenstein Center has not commented beyond its teaser.

The only confirmed fact is the date. The announcement is expected sometime today, Friday, November 6, and whether it turns out to be a rodeo-and-concert tour stop, a major concert on-sale, or something else entirely, the reveal will settle a guessing game that started with a single orange photo. NewsForce247 will update this story as soon as the Schottenstein Center makes its announcement.
