A 46-year-old man was found fatally shot late Thursday night in Cincinnati’s Westwood neighborhood, according to Cincinnati police reports carried by two local outlets.

Officers were called to the 3300 block of Lakeview Avenue at about 11 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, for a report of a person shot, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported, citing Cincinnati police. WCPO reported the shooting happened outside an apartment building on Lakeview Avenue, and that its crew could see a man lying dead on the street, with the coroner also on the scene Thursday night.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that officers found Brandon Rozier, 46, with multiple gunshot wounds. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel determined he had died, the Enquirer reported.

Police have not released information about a suspect or about what may have led to the shooting, according to both WCPO and the Cincinnati Enquirer. No arrest had been announced in either outlet’s reporting as of Friday morning.

The killing is now a Cincinnati police homicide investigation. The department is asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward, rather than relying only on what officers found at the Lakeview Avenue scene Thursday night.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department’s homicide unit at 513-352-3522, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. Police have not said whether they believe there is an ongoing threat connected to the shooting, and further details are expected only if investigators release them.
