TROY, Ohio — Miami County voters have two days of early in-person voting left before Election Day, with the county Board of Elections open Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the final early-voting session before the Tuesday, Nov. 3 general election, according to the Miami County Board of Elections.

Early voting takes place at the board office in the old county courthouse, 215 West Main Street in Troy, using the main entrance on the east side of the building facing the Safety Building, the board said. The Ohio Secretary of State’s county boards directory lists the office at 215 W. Main St., Troy, OH 45373, phone 937-440-3900.

The final weekend closes an early-voting run that began Oct. 6. The board’s published hours show voting ran 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 28-30, before this weekend’s Saturday and Sunday sessions. There is no early in-person voting on Monday, Nov. 2.

One late issue has drawn the board’s attention this week: Miami County Board of Elections Director Laura Bruns said the board is working with the New Carlisle post office to address ballots that were not sent out to some voters living in that city, the Dayton Daily News reported. Voters who requested an absentee ballot but have not received it should call the board at 937-440-3900 for next steps, and Bruns reminded those voters they remain eligible to vote a regular ballot at the early voting center in Troy, according to the Dayton Daily News.

Under Ohio law as changed by Senate Bill 293, absentee ballots must now be received by the board by the close of polls on Election Day — 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 — to be counted, with an exception for military and overseas voters, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 schedule. With that deadline days away, returning a ballot in person at the Troy office removes the mail from the equation.

Miami County’s Nov. 3 ballot carries the eight statewide races, statewide Issue 3, and the county, city, school and township contests and levies on file with the board. Sample ballots for each precinct are available through the board’s website.

Polls on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at precinct polling places across Miami County. Voters in line at 7:30 p.m. may still cast a ballot. After Sunday at 5 p.m., the next chance to vote is at a voter’s assigned polling place on Tuesday.
