Hardin County voters are in the final days of early in-person voting for the November 3 general election, with the Hardin County Board of Elections offering extended hours at the Hardin County Courthouse, One Courthouse Square, Suite 40, in Kenton, through Sunday, November 1.
According to the Hardin County Board of Elections’ published early voting schedule, voting runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 28 through Friday, October 30. The final weekend follows with hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 1 — the last day of early in-person voting in Ohio.
Early in-person voting in Ohio began October 6, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule, and Hardin County’s board reminded voters earlier this month that early voting takes place at the board office in the courthouse, while Election Day voters cast ballots at their assigned polling places on November 3.
The absentee-by-mail window has largely closed. Under the Secretary of State’s schedule, absentee ballot applications had to be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. on October 27. Voters who already have a mail ballot face a hard deadline this year: non-UOCAVA absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, to be counted — there is no post-Election Day grace period, and a postmark alone is not enough.
That makes hand delivery the safest option for anyone still holding a completed ballot. Hardin County voters can return a ballot in person to the board office at the courthouse in Kenton, or use the board’s secure drop-off, by the 7:30 p.m. deadline on November 3.
On Election Day itself, Tuesday, November 3, polls across Ohio are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the Secretary of State, and voters in line by 7:30 p.m. may still vote. Voters should bring an accepted form of photo identification for in-person voting.
What happens next is the busiest stretch of the election calendar: the final three days of early voting in Kenton, including the Halloween Saturday and Sunday sessions, and then Election Day on November 3, when Hardin County voters who have not voted early will head to their precinct polling places.
