Fogo de Chão, the Brazilian churrasco restaurant group, announced Oct. 29 that it has signed a lease for a new restaurant at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, bringing its fire-roasted dining experience to Greater Cleveland, the company said in a release issued through GlobeNewswire.
The new restaurant will be located at 24325 Cedar Road inside Legacy Village, the Lyndhurst lifestyle center that the company described as a premier destination serving communities throughout Northeast Ohio, with more than 40 restaurants and retailers.
“We’re excited to bring Fogo de Chão to the Greater Cleveland area and continue growing our presence in the Midwest,” Barry McGowan, chief executive officer of Fogo de Chão, said in the company’s release. “As we expand into new markets, we look for destinations that align with our commitment to exceptional hospitality, and Legacy Village is a strong fit,” McGowan said in the release.
Legacy Village General Manager Susan Windle welcomed the signing in the same release. “We’re pleased to welcome Fogo de Chão to Legacy Village,” Windle said in the release. “Fogo brings a distinctive dining experience to the center, and we’re excited for guests to enjoy a new era of international dining at Legacy Village,” she said in the release.
The company said the Legacy Village restaurant will feature its enhanced design, including a 360-degree view of an open churrasco grill where Gaucho Chefs butcher, hand-carve and grill cuts of protein over an open flame. Fogo de Chão is known for its prix fixe Full Churrasco Experience and its Market Table of seasonal salads, charcuterie and fruit.
The Lyndhurst signing is part of the company’s 2026 growth strategy, the release said, following recent openings in Charlotte, North Carolina; Gilbert, Arizona; and Peabody, Massachusetts, with planned international openings in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
The company, founded 47 years ago in Brazil, did not announce an opening date for the Lyndhurst restaurant in its release. More information is available at fogo.com, the company said.
