Morgan County voters can cast an early in-person ballot this week at the Morgan County Board of Elections, 155 E. Main St., Room 157, in McConnelsville, where voting runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 23, for the Nov. 3, 2026 general election. The board office is the county’s early voting location, and voters from across Morgan County can use it during the posted hours without an appointment.

Hours expand in the final stretch before Election Day. Voting continues Saturday, Oct. 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., then Monday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. From Wednesday, Oct. 28, through Friday, Oct. 30, the office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 27, is also a key deadline for voters who want to vote by mail. Absentee ballot applications are due by 8:30 p.m. that evening, matching the extended voting hours that day. Voters who have requested an absentee ballot should follow the instructions included with it and return it in time to be counted, or vote in person early or on Election Day.

Some McConnelsville-area voters will vote at a different location this year than they may remember. The board has permanently changed the voting location for McConnelsville Village B/C and East Bloom Township voters from the Senior Center to the Riecker Building Community Room at 155 E. Main St. in McConnelsville. The change took effect beginning with the November 2025 general election and remains in place going forward, so affected voters should go to the Riecker Building on Election Day.

The board is led by Director Tracie Wagoner and Deputy Director Valerie Mayle. Voters with questions about early voting, absentee ballots, or their polling place can contact the office at 740-962-3116 or visit its Main Street address during voting hours. Checking in advance is especially important for voters covered by the location change.

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls across Morgan County will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., following the statewide schedule set by the Ohio Secretary of State. Voters in line when polls close will still be permitted to cast a ballot. Early voting ends before Election Day, so voters who miss the Nov. 1 session must vote at their assigned polling place on Nov. 3.

Board staff will continue processing absentee applications and assisting early voters through the remaining schedule, then prepare for Election Day. Voters are encouraged to pick the option that fits their schedule — early in person, absentee by mail, or on Election Day — and to contact the board with any questions before heading out to vote.
