Early in-person voting for the November 3, 2026 general election continues this week in Henry County, with voting open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, October 23, at the Henry County Board of Elections office, 1827 Oakwood Avenue in Napoleon, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s early voting schedule and the county board of elections.
The board of elections office in Napoleon is the county’s early voting location, listed by both the Secretary of State and the county board at 1827 Oakwood Ave., Napoleon, OH 43545. The board’s phone number is 419-592-7956. Early in-person voting in Ohio began on Tuesday, October 6, and the Henry County board states that absentee and early voting in-office began that same day.
The hours for this week are set by the statewide schedule published by Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s office. For October 19 to 23, early in-person voting runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The schedule then expands: voting is open Saturday, October 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Monday, October 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, October 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, October 28 to 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, October 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, November 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Henry County board notes there will be no in-person early voting on Monday, November 2. On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, voting moves to precinct polling places across the county, with polls open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voters who have not cast a ballot early vote at their assigned polling place on Election Day.
Henry County voters can preview what will be on their ballot before they vote. The county’s VoterView service lists the November 3, 2026 general election and allows registered voters to look up their registration, polling place, and sample ballot; the Secretary of State also provides sample ballot lookup through VoteOhio.gov. Because ballots vary by precinct and district, each voter’s own sample ballot is the record of the races and issues that voter will decide.
Voting by mail is also under way. Absentee voting by mail began October 6, and absentee ballot applications must be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. A completed absentee ballot can be returned by mail, delivered in person to the board, placed in the drop box outside the board office, or delivered by a near relative as Ohio law allows, and it must be received no later than the close of polls at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
The voter registration deadline for this election was Monday, October 5. For Henry County residents who still need information about early voting, absentee ballots, or their polling place, the board of elections can be reached at 419-592-7956, and statewide voting information, including the full early voting schedule, is posted by the Secretary of State at VoteOhio.gov and ohiosos.gov.
