If this page feels faster, that’s because it is. Overnight, NewsForce247.com moved off its old platform and onto a brand-new website that we built, we host, and we own outright — and everything about the way Ohio news reaches you just got better. Same address. All-New. All Ohio. All Yours.
Here’s what changed the moment you landed here. Stories load faster, on phones most of all, because this site was built mobile-first for the way Ohio actually reads the news — at the kitchen table, in the school pickup line, on break at the plant. The homepage is cleaner and easier to scan, with more stories above the fold. And the work hasn’t slowed down for the move: you’ll still find fresh Ohio stories here all day, every day — if it happens in Ohio, we report it — breaking news, Statehouse politics, courts, weather, and high school sports from every corner of the state.
Some of what’s new deserves its own introduction. Our statewide school closings and delays page is live and ready for the season ahead — one page, every district we can confirm, updated the moment a closing or delay is called, all winter long. Our election coverage is marching through all 88 Ohio counties between now and Election Day, so no matter which county courthouse your ballot runs through, your races, your levies, and your local issues are being covered like they matter — because they do. And on the sports side, Friday Night Lights LIVE continues under the lights every week, presented this season by Osbourne Business Solutions, whose support helps keep Ohio high school football front and center.
There’s more on the way, and soon. On November 1, we’re launching a free NewsForce247 email newsletter — the day’s essential Ohio headlines, delivered in the morning, readable in about the time it takes your coffee to cool. The 145 readers whose subscriptions we’ve carried over from the old site are already on the list, and the next 100 people to sign up will be thanked by name as our Founding 100 in the very first edition. Then, on November 2, our radio side gets its own new name: the station you know as AudiOH Radio becomes NewsForce Radio — one name, one newsroom, on air and online.
Why do all this? Because local news only works if somebody local owns it. More than 123,000 readers have made NewsForce247 part of their routine, and roughly three out of every four of you are right here in Ohio. You deserved a website that loads like it respects your time, covers your county like it matters, and isn’t going anywhere. Now you have one. “We didn’t just redecorate,” said Jack Bennett, Director of Partnerships for AudiOH Media Group. “We rebuilt the foundation. This site is ours — our server, our platform, our promise. Ohio news, done by Ohioans, on ground we own.”
So take a look around. Read your county’s election coverage. Bookmark the closings page before the first snow flies. Sign up for the newsletter and claim your spot in the Founding 100. And if something’s broken, tell us — this house is new, and we’re still hanging pictures. Welcome home, Ohio.
