FINDLAY — Sheetz has cut the ribbon on its new $169 million food preparation and distribution center in Findlay, a project expected to create more than 750 jobs in the city and Hancock County over the next five years. The facility officially begins operations Oct. 11.

Company President and CEO Travis Sheetz led the celebration alongside Findlay Mayor Christina Muryn, Hancock County commissioners, city council members and economic development officials. The center will support Sheetz’s growth across Ohio and the Midwest; the company operates 140 stores in Ohio and is expanding in markets including Columbus, Dayton and Toledo.

Sheetz presented donations to the West Ohio Food Bank in recognition of Hunger Action Day on Sept. 29, continuing the company’s practice of pairing major milestones with community giving.

Local officials welcomed the project as one of the largest economic development wins in the region’s recent history. With the facility now complete, hiring and operations will ramp up over the coming weeks as the center begins supplying Sheetz stores across the Midwest.

The ribbon-cutting drew local, regional and state leaders. Sheetz says the Findlay campus anchors its long-term expansion plans for Ohio, where its footprint continues to grow.
