Sandusky County Early Voting Runs 8 to 5 This Week at Fremont Board OfficeThe Sandusky County Courthouse in Fremont.

Early in-person voting for the November 3, 2026, general election is underway at the Sandusky County Board of Elections, located at 2020 Countryside Drive in Fremont. Through Friday, October 23, the office is open for early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, giving Sandusky County voters a weekday option to cast a ballot ahead of Election Day at their own county board office.

Voting continues this weekend, with the Fremont office open Saturday, October 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ohio voters may vote early in person only at their own county’s board of elections office, so Sandusky County residents should go to the Fremont location. That distinction matters because the city of Sandusky is in neighboring Erie County, not Sandusky County, and Erie County voters use a different board office.

Hours expand during the final week of early voting. On Monday, October 26, the board office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by longer hours on Tuesday, October 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The extended schedule is intended to give voters more early-morning and evening time as Election Day approaches.

The expanded hours continue Wednesday through Friday, October 28 through October 30, when the office will be open each day from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Early voting then wraps up over the final weekend, with hours on Saturday, October 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, November 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Voters who prefer to vote absentee by mail should note two deadlines. Absentee ballot applications are due by 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. Completed absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, to be counted, so voters returning a ballot close to the deadline should plan for that receipt time, not just a mailing date.

There will be no early in-person voting on Monday, November 2, the day before the election. On Election Day itself, Tuesday, November 3, polls in Sandusky County will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for voters who choose to vote in person at their assigned polling place that day.
