New Pathways Clinic has opened a new location in Maumee, expanding advanced mental health treatment options for patients across the Toledo area and Northwest Ohio. The clinic, at 1657 Holland Road, Suite A, is the organization’s fifth location in Ohio and its first in this part of the state, joining sites serving the Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati regions.
The Maumee clinic is aimed at patients in Toledo, Maumee, Perrysburg, Sylvania and surrounding Lucas County communities who are looking for additional options after traditional approaches have not provided the relief they need. The organization said expanding into Northwest Ohio was a natural next step as it works to make its treatments more accessible statewide.
“Expanding into Northwest Ohio was a natural next step for New Pathways as we continue working to make advanced mental health treatment more accessible across the state,” said Steve Suntala, executive director of New Pathways Clinic. He said the Maumee location gives the organization an opportunity to serve patients throughout the Toledo area who may be seeking another path forward.
New Pathways specializes in ketamine therapy options for people living with depression and other mental health conditions, particularly those who have struggled to find sufficient relief through medication and psychotherapy alone. Its services include IV ketamine infusions for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar depression, along with Spravato, an FDA-approved esketamine nasal spray for eligible patients with treatment-resistant depression, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
Treatment is not one-size-fits-all, the clinic said. Plans are developed around each patient’s health history, symptoms, previous treatments and individual needs, with an emphasis on screening, clinical oversight, ongoing evaluation and communication throughout care. Prospective patients are evaluated individually to determine whether ketamine therapy, Spravato or another treatment may be appropriate.
Suntala said patients coming to Maumee can expect the same individualized, supportive approach that guides the organization’s other locations. “We want people in Northwest Ohio to have access to the same level of personalized care and innovative treatment options we provide throughout the state,” he said.
The opening comes as ketamine and esketamine have become increasingly established options within the broader mental health treatment landscape, especially for certain patients whose symptoms have persisted despite conventional treatment. For Northwest Ohio residents, the new Holland Road site means those options are now available closer to home, without a drive to Cleveland, Columbus or Cincinnati. Patients interested in treatment at the Maumee location can contact New Pathways Clinic to learn more about services, eligibility and scheduling.
