PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Lake County voters are in the final days of early in-person voting for the November 3, 2026 general election, with the Lake County Board of Elections open for extended hours through the weekend before polls open across the county on Election Day.
According to the Lake County Board of Elections, early in-person voting takes place only at the board office, 105 Main St., Suite 107, in Painesville. The board lists hours of 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for October 28 through 30, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, the last day of early voting.
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, all Lake County polling locations will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., the board says. Voters who still hold an absentee ballot should plan for the new statewide deadline: under Ohio law, absentee ballots must be received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
The board’s general election page also links voters to the county’s list of November 3 candidates and its questions and issues list, along with information on statewide Issue 3 from the Ohio Secretary of State. Voters can check their registration, find their Election Day polling place and track an absentee ballot through the board’s website.
Getting to the polls is free for many Lake County voters this cycle. Laketran says it is providing free transportation on all local routes and on its Dial-a-Ride service to polling locations on Election Day and to the board of elections for early voting, with Dial-a-Ride reservations available by calling 440-350-1000.
The Lake County Board of Elections can be reached at 440-350-2700. Its regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., outside the extended early-voting schedule.
After early voting ends Sunday afternoon, the next step for Lake County voters is Election Day itself, when precinct polls open at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Results will be reported by the board after polls close at 7:30 p.m.
