Holmes County voters have entered the final week of early in-person voting for the November 3, 2026 general election, and the schedule in Millersburg gets longer starting Monday, October 26. All early voting for the county takes place at the Holmes County Board of Elections office, and voters still in line when a session ends are allowed to vote.
Under the statewide schedule set by the Ohio Secretary of State, early voting runs Monday, October 26 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., then Tuesday, October 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. — the longest day of the early-voting period. Voting continues Wednesday through Friday, October 28 to 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., then Saturday, October 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the final session is Sunday, November 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is no early voting on Monday, November 2.
Holmes County ballots are topped by the statewide races every Ohio voter will decide, including the contests for governor, attorney general, auditor, secretary of state, treasurer and the U.S. Senate, along with statewide Issue 3, the proposed photo ID constitutional amendment.
Locally, township voters across the county are deciding a run of renewal levies, among them Richland Township’s cemetery levy, Saltcreek Township’s road and bridge levy and Washington Township’s road and bridge levy, plus local liquor options including petitions for Buckeye Deli & Pizza. Voters can preview their exact ballot through the board of elections and the Secretary of State’s voter tools before they go.
Voters who asked for a ballot by mail face a hard deadline this week: absentee applications must reach the board by 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. Completed absentee ballots must be received by the board by the close of polls on Election Day — a postmark alone is not enough — so officials urge anyone who has not mailed a ballot back by now to hand-deliver it to the board office instead.
Voters must bring an accepted photo ID, such as an Ohio driver’s license or state identification card, whether they vote early or on Election Day. Polls will be open on Tuesday, November 3 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters who vote that day must go to their assigned precinct polling place, not the board office.
