Hancock County voters can cast an early in-person ballot from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this week at the Hancock County Board of Elections, 201 E. Lincoln St. Rear, in Findlay, as early voting continues ahead of the November 3 general election.
The board’s Findlay office is the county’s early-voting location listed by the Ohio Secretary of State. Early voting is not held at a voter’s neighborhood precinct; that precinct polling place opens on Election Day itself, Tuesday, November 3, when polls across Ohio are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The hours this week follow the statewide early-voting schedule set for all Ohio boards: October 19 through October 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The schedule then expands, with voting on Saturday, October 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and longer days in the final week before Election Day.
In that final stretch, Hancock County voters will find the board open Monday, October 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, October 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, October 28 to 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, October 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, November 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is no early voting on Monday, November 2.
Voters who prefer to vote by mail face a nearer deadline. Absentee ballot applications must be received by the board of elections by 8:30 p.m. on October 27, and a completed absentee ballot must be received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
This is a second-pass election update for Hancock County in NewsForce247’s county-by-county coverage of the November 3 election. An earlier story introduced the county’s ballot; this update focuses on the practical steps Findlay-area voters need to cast a ballot early, by mail or in person on Election Day.
County voters with questions about their registration, their sample ballot or the Lincoln Street early-vote center can contact the Hancock County Board of Elections directly or check the Ohio Secretary of State’s voter tools before heading out, especially as hours change in the final week.
Early voting continues statewide through Sunday, November 1. After that, the only remaining option is voting at an assigned precinct on November 3, or returning an already-issued absentee ballot to the board by the Election Day deadline.
