Greene County early voting enters its final full week on Monday, October 26, with in-person early voting open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Greene County Board of Elections, 551 Ledbetter Road in Xenia, under the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 general election voting schedule.

The board, chaired by Wendy Dyer with members Janis Basham, Anita Swan and Denise Moore, oversees the elections process in Greene County — providing poll workers and their training, preparing ballots, testing the electronic voting equipment, handling voter registration, and compiling election statistics and party records. Its regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the extended early-voting hours below governing the final week.

The remaining early in-person hours on the state schedule are Tuesday, October 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, October 28–30 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, October 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, November 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is no early in-person voting on Monday, November 2, the day before Election Day.

Tuesday, October 27 is also the week’s hard deadline: absentee ballot applications must be received by the county board of elections by 8:30 p.m. that night. An application requests a ballot — it is not the same as returning a completed ballot. Completed non-UOCAVA absentee ballots must be received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.

Greene County voters decided a bridge levy and two Ohio House races among the contests previewed in this site’s first-pass ballot coverage, alongside the statewide races and statewide Issue 3 that appear on every Ohio ballot. Voters who want to review exactly what they will see can check their sample ballot through the county board before they travel to Xenia.

Election Day itself is Tuesday, November 3, when polls across Greene County are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and voters cast ballots at their assigned polling places rather than at the board office. Military and overseas (UOCAVA) absentee ballots sent by mail must be received by November 7 to be counted, under the state calendar.

Voters with questions can reach the Greene County Board of Elections at 551 Ledbetter Road, Xenia, by phone at 937-562-6170 or by email at [email protected]. With the October 27 absentee-application deadline falling on the longest early-voting day of the week, officials’ standing advice applies in Greene County as everywhere in Ohio: vote early in the week rather than waiting for the final weekend lines.
