The morning fog that slowed parts of northwest Ohio early Sunday is gone, and sunshine is in charge across the state late this morning, according to the National Weather Service. The Special Weather Statement for fog in northwest Ohio expired at 8 a.m. after visibilities fell below one-half mile, with patches below one-quarter mile. No watches, warnings or advisories are in effect anywhere in Ohio now. Late-morning readings were in the mid- to upper 50s under sunny skies — 58 degrees in Columbus, 57 in Dayton, 56 in Toledo and 55 in Cleveland — with light south and southeast winds.

The rest of Sunday stays dry everywhere, with no rain in the forecast for any region. Afternoon highs reach near 69 to 71 degrees in the northwest, near 67 to 69 in the northeast, near 70 in central Ohio, and the low to mid-70s in the southwest, which remains the warmest part of the state at near 73 in Dayton and 74 in Cincinnati. The southeast warms to near 69 in Athens. Fall color remains near its best in many parts of Ohio.
