The Columbus Crew will host St. Louis City SC on Wednesday night in the final of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, with a trophy on the line in the 111th edition of the tournament. The match is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field in Columbus, and it will be shown on CBS Sports Network and Paramount+.

Columbus reached the final by beating Orlando City in the U.S. Open Cup semifinals on Sept. 16. The Crew have won five of their last six matches entering Wednesday night, a run that has carried the club through the closing rounds of the tournament and into a home final in front of its own supporters.

St. Louis arrives with a strong record of its own. The club recently set a Major League Soccer record with a 21-match unbeaten streak, a run that dated back to more than a month before the 2026 World Cup. That streak ended Saturday, Oct. 17, in a 3-2 road loss to Minnesota United, the club’s final match before the final.

The two clubs are at different points in their histories. Columbus is one of the league’s original clubs and has won multiple trophies in its 30-year history. St. Louis City is the league’s second-newest entry and is playing for the first trophy in club history.

For St. Louis, the projected lineup listed by USA Today includes goalkeeper Roman Burki, defenders Tomas Totland, Timo Baumgartl and Lukas MacNaughton, and forwards Rafael Navarro and Jeong Sang-bin.
