Columbiana County voters head to their precinct polling places on Tuesday, Nov. 3, after early in-person voting ended Sunday afternoon, Nov. 1, at the Columbiana County Board of Elections in Lisbon. Polls across the county will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule.
Early in-person voting began Oct. 6 and ran through Nov. 1, closing with Sunday hours from 1 to 5 p.m., according to the Secretary of State’s schedule. The Columbiana County Board of Elections, at 7989 Dickey Drive, Suite 3, in Lisbon, served as the county’s early-voting location throughout that period.
Voters who still hold an absentee ballot should not count on the mail at this point. Under Ohio’s current rules, non-military absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted — there is no longer a post-Election Day grace period for most ballots, the Columbus Dispatch reported. Voters can return a ballot in person to the board office in Lisbon by that deadline instead.
What each voter sees depends on their precinct, according to the sample ballots published by the Columbiana County Board of Elections. Every ballot in the county carries the statewide races and State Issue 3, the proposed constitutional amendment on voter photo ID, while local questions vary — the board’s sample ballots include, for example, a Butler Township road tax levy renewal and a West Branch Local School District permanent improvements levy.
The board’s sample ballots also list the statewide and district offices Ohio voters are deciding this fall, including Governor and Lieutenant Governor, the Ohio Supreme Court and the 7th District Court of Appeals. Voters can check their registration, precinct and sample ballot through the board and the Secretary of State before heading out on Tuesday.
Voters heading to the polls on Tuesday need an accepted form of photo identification under Ohio law. Anyone in line at their polling place by 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 will be able to vote, under the Secretary of State’s schedule.
After the polls close at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Columbiana County Board of Elections will report unofficial results through the evening. NewsForce247 will follow the county’s returns as part of its Election Night coverage of the statewide races and State Issue 3.
