Early in-person voting for the November 3 general election has entered its final days in Auglaize County, according to the Auglaize County Board of Elections. Registered voters can still cast an early ballot in person at the board office in Wapakoneta through Sunday, November 1, before polls open on Election Day.

The board lists its early voting location as the Auglaize County Board of Elections, 209 S. Blackhoof Street, Suite 205, in Wapakoneta. The remaining hours are the longest of the early voting period: Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by Saturday, October 31, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the final session on Sunday, November 1, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is no early voting on Monday, November 2.

Two deadlines in the county have already passed. The board lists the voter registration deadline as October 5 at 9:00 p.m., and the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule confirms that absentee ballot applications had to be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. on October 27. Voters who already have an absentee ballot should note the return rule in that same schedule: non-military and non-overseas absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, while military and overseas ballots must be received by November 7.

Voters heading to Wapakoneta this week should bring identification. The Ohio Secretary of State’s voter identification guidance says voters must show a valid, unexpired photo ID carrying their name and photograph. Acceptable forms include an Ohio driver license, a State of Ohio ID card or interim ID form from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, a U.S. passport or passport card, and U.S. military, Ohio National Guard, or Department of Veterans Affairs ID cards.

Auglaize County voters will also see a statewide question on the ballot. The Ohio Secretary of State announced that State Issue 3, a proposed constitutional amendment that would require voters to present photo identification when voting, will appear on the November 3, 2026 general election ballot for all Ohio voters. The Secretary of State has posted the full text, official ballot language, certified explanation, and arguments for and against Issue 3 at OhioSoS.gov for voters to review before they vote.

The board office can be reached at 419-739-6720, with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, separate from the extended early voting hours above. Voters with questions about their registration, ballot, or Election Day voting location can contact the board directly.

After early voting closes on Sunday afternoon, the next opportunity to vote is Election Day itself. The Auglaize County Board of Elections states that polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at assigned voting locations. That makes the four sessions remaining in Wapakoneta — Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — the last chance for Auglaize County voters who want to cast a ballot in person before Election Day.
