Early voting for the Nov. 3, 2026 general election enters its final week in Auglaize County, with in-person absentee voting continuing at the Auglaize County Board of Elections, 209 S. Blackhoof Street, Suite 205, in Wapakoneta, according to the board’s posted election information and the Ohio Secretary of State’s early voting directory.
Sunday, Oct. 25, is not an early voting day in Ohio. Voting resumes Monday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. — the longest day of the early voting period. Hours continue Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 28 to 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., then Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the final early voting session.
There is no early voting on Monday, Nov. 2. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at voters’ assigned precinct polling locations — not at the board office. Voters who are in line when a voting session is scheduled to end are allowed to cast their ballot.
Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 8:30 p.m. is also the deadline for the board to receive absentee ballot applications, under the statewide schedule confirmed by the Secretary of State. Registered Ohio voters may request an absentee ballot without giving a reason, but Ohio does not automatically mail ballots to all voters, so anyone planning to vote by mail should act before that deadline.
Domestic absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted; a timely postmark alone does not qualify. Military and overseas ballots returned by mail follow a separate deadline and must arrive by Nov. 7 under the Secretary of State’s calendar.
Auglaize County voters deciding local races, levies and issues alongside Ohio’s statewide races should check their registration and sample ballot before they travel. The voter registration deadline for this election was Oct. 5, and the board’s office in Wapakoneta is the single early voting location for the county.
Bringing an accepted form of identification and allowing a few extra minutes during the busier final-week sessions can help keep lines moving. Voters with questions about their precinct, ballot or absentee application can contact the Auglaize County Board of Elections directly before heading out.
Early voting in Auglaize County wraps up Sunday, Nov. 1, at 5 p.m. After that, the only remaining way to vote in the Nov. 3 general election is in person at an assigned precinct on Election Day, or by returning a timely requested absentee ballot to the board by 7:30 p.m. that night.
