LIMA, Ohio — Allen County voters have four days of early in-person voting left before the Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026 general election, with the final sessions running Thursday through Sunday at the Allen County Board of Elections in Lima, according to the board and the Ohio Secretary of State.
Early voting is held at the board’s office at 204 N. Main St. in Lima, the early voting location listed for Allen County by the Ohio Secretary of State. The Allen County Board of Elections lists the remaining hours for the final week as 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, and Friday, Oct. 30, followed by 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1.
Those hours match the uniform statewide early in-person voting schedule published by the Ohio Secretary of State for the Nov. 3 general election, which shows Oct. 28 to 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Nov. 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, is the last day of early in-person voting — the statewide schedule lists no early voting session on Monday, Nov. 2.
Voters who requested a ballot by mail face a separate deadline. According to the Allen County Board of Elections, all absentee ballots must be received by the board or placed in the office dropbox by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, to be counted, and ballots arriving after that time will not be counted. The deadline to submit an application for a ballot to be mailed out was Oct. 27, the board lists, and the Ohio Secretary of State lists that application deadline as 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 27.
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls across Ohio are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the Ohio Secretary of State. Election Day voting is at a voter’s assigned precinct polling place, not at the board of elections office where early voting is held, and the Allen County Board of Elections directs voters to its polling-location lookup to find their Election Day site.
Before heading out, Allen County voters can preview exactly what they will decide. The Allen County Board of Elections provides a “Search To See My Ballot” tool and an “All Ballots” search on its site, along with candidates and issues lists for the Nov. 3 election, because contests and local issues vary by precinct within the county. The board notes that military and overseas voters operate under different deadlines.
Voters heading to vote in person should also bring identification. Ohio law requires a valid, unexpired photo ID that includes the voter’s name and photograph, according to the Ohio Secretary of State, with examples including an Ohio driver license, a state of Ohio ID card, a U.S. passport, and a military ID. Voters with questions can contact the Allen County Board of Elections in Lima or check VoteOhio.gov before the final early session ends Sunday afternoon.
