NAPOLEON, Ohio — Henry County voters head to their precinct polling places on Tuesday, November 3, after early in-person voting wrapped up on Sunday, November 1, closing out nearly four weeks of advance balloting for the 2026 general election, according to the Henry County Board of Elections.

Polls across Henry County will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and any voter in line when the polls close still has the right to cast a ballot. On Election Day, voters must vote at their assigned precinct polling place, the Ohio Secretary of State’s office said.

Early in-person voting at the board of elections began on Tuesday, October 6, and ran through Sunday, November 1, including the two Saturdays and the Sunday before Election Day, according to the Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule. There was no in-person early voting on Monday, November 2, the Henry County Board of Elections noted.

Voters still holding absentee ballots face a hard deadline this year. Under Senate Bill 293, signed by Gov. Mike DeWine in December 2025, absentee ballots must arrive at the board of elections by the close of polls at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted — the previous four-day grace period no longer applies for most voters, the Columbus Dispatch reported. Henry County voters can return ballots in person to the board of elections at 1827 Oakwood Ave. in Napoleon, according to the Dispatch’s statewide drop-off list.

Henry County voters will help decide Ohio’s statewide races on Tuesday, including governor, U.S. senator, attorney general, auditor, secretary of state, treasurer and two seats on the Ohio Supreme Court, alongside state legislative races, county offices and local levies and issues that vary by precinct. Voters can preview their exact ballot through the county’s Voter View portal and the Secretary of State’s sample ballot tools.

Voters heading to the polls should bring an unexpired photo ID. A voter who runs into an ID, registration or address problem can often still cast a provisional ballot, the Secretary of State’s office said.

After the polls close at 7:30 p.m., the board of elections will begin reporting unofficial results. NewsForce247 will follow Henry County’s returns as they are reported on election night.
