Harrison County voters head to the polls on Tuesday, November 3, after early in-person voting ended on Sunday, November 1. Polls across the county will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule.

There is no early in-person voting on Monday, November 2, the day before the election, under that same statewide schedule. Voters who still hold an absentee ballot should deliver it in person rather than mail it: the Harrison County Board of Elections is at 538 North Main Street, Suite B, in Cadiz, according to the Secretary of State’s early voting locations directory.

The deadline matters more this year. The Columbus Dispatch reported that Senate Bill 293, signed by Gov. Mike DeWine in December 2025, requires absentee ballots to arrive by the close of polls on Election Day to be counted, with an exception for military and overseas voters — the old four-day grace period after Election Day is gone. Ballots must be in the board’s hands by 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

On the ballot, Harrison County voters are deciding four renewal levies and a two-way race for county commissioner, along with the statewide races and issues on every Ohio ballot. NewsForce247’s first-pass look at the county’s ballot detailed the levies and the commissioner contest earlier this fall.

Voters who requested an absentee ballot but decide to vote in person on Election Day must cast a provisional ballot, the Secretary of State’s guidance notes. Anyone in line by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday has the right to vote, even if they have not reached the check-in table before polls close.

What happens next is Tuesday itself: Harrison County voters can confirm their assigned polling place through the Secretary of State’s elections website or by contacting the county board of elections in Cadiz before heading out. Results will begin to be reported after polls close at 7:30 p.m.
