BROWN COUNTY, Ohio — A 19-year-old Bethel man was killed and two other men were seriously injured Sunday evening when a pickup struck a trailer attached to a disabled vehicle they were repairing on a Brown County road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just after 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, on Liming Van Thompson Road near Yankeetown Road in Clark Township, the patrol said, in reporting by WHIO News Center 7 and the Cincinnati Enquirer. A preliminary investigation found that Wilson D. Adams, 65, of Hamersville, was driving a 1999 GMC Sonoma south on Liming Van Thompson Road when he struck the trailer attached to the Pathfinder, the patrol told the Cincinnati Enquirer. The impact pushed the Pathfinder forward, striking Jeffrey D. Saylor, 70, of Hamersville, and Jordan C. Greenwell, 19, of Bethel, according to the patrol.

The Pathfinder also struck Shane M. Hull, 19, of Bethel, pinning him against a 2022 Ford F-150 that was parked in the roadway, the patrol said, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. WHIO News Center 7, reporting a patrol spokesperson, carried the same account of the three men being struck while they worked on the disabled vehicle.
