On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls in Fulton County are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the Fulton County Board of Elections. Voters who are in line by 7:30 p.m. can vote. Absentee voters face a changed deadline this year. Under Ohio law, a non-military absentee ballot must be received by the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule; there is no longer a post-Election Day grace period for most ballots. Military and overseas ballots must be received by Nov. 7. The deadline to request an absentee ballot was 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 27, which has now passed.

The board reminds voters that absentee ballots and applications can be returned to its office at 135 Courthouse Plaza, Wauseon, OH 43567, and that a drop box on the sidewalk by the main entrance is available for absentee ballots, absentee ballot request forms and voter registration forms, according to the Fulton County Board of Elections. With the mail deadline effectively here, the board and the Secretary of State direct voters still holding a completed ballot to return it in person rather than risk a late arrival.

The voter registration deadline for this election was Oct. 5 at 9 p.m., according to the Fulton County Board of Elections. Director April Fryman and Deputy Director Drew Stambaugh lead the board’s office, according to the board.
