Washington County voters are in the final week of early voting for the Nov. 3 general election, casting ballots in person at the Washington County Board of Elections office at 512 Montgomery Street in Marietta, according to the board and the Ohio Secretary of State’s official voting-location listing.
Early in-person voting runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 28 through Oct. 30, under Ohio’s uniform statewide early-voting schedule set by the Secretary of State. Hours continue Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the final early-voting session is Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is no early voting on Monday, Nov. 2.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail has now passed — applications were due to the board by 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, under the Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule. Voters who already hold a mail ballot must return it postmarked by Monday, Nov. 2, in person to the board office by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, or through the board’s drop box, and mailed ballots postmarked in time can be counted if they arrive by Saturday, Nov. 7, according to state deadlines reported by The Parkersburg News and Sentinel.
At the top of the county ballot, Republican Charlie Schilling is unopposed for county commissioner on the Washington County Board of Elections’ official 2026 candidate list, after serving as a commissioner since 2021. The ballot also carries local questions, including the contested Devola sewer issue, Issue 1, under the board’s official issues list.
The board publishes no running early-vote turnout total, and none is reported here. Voters who want to confirm their registration, view a sample ballot for their precinct or check their polling place can use the Washington County Board of Elections website or the Secretary of State’s voter lookup before heading out.
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls across Washington County and Ohio are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voters in line at 7:30 p.m. may still cast a ballot.
