Vertiv Holdings, the critical digital infrastructure company headquartered in Westerville, reported third-quarter net sales of $4.313 billion on Wednesday, up 61 percent from the same quarter a year earlier, as demand for data center power and cooling equipment continued to surge, according to the company’s earnings release issued via PR Newswire.
The company said organic sales grew 55 percent in the quarter ended Sept. 30, with acquisitions contributing about 6 percent, and growth was broad-based across all regions — the Americas up 75 percent, Asia-Pacific up 50 percent and Europe, the Middle East and Africa up 23 percent. Operating profit rose 90 percent to $984 million, and diluted earnings per share grew 91 percent to $1.95.
“We are in the middle of the largest infrastructure buildout and it’s accelerating,” Vertiv Chief Executive Officer Giordano Albertazzi said in the company’s PR Newswire release. “The demands on data center infrastructure are evolving faster than ever, and Vertiv’s role in that buildout keeps expanding.”
Vertiv said organic orders grew more than 100 percent year over year, giving it confidence to raise its full-year outlook. The company now expects full-year 2026 net sales of about $14.65 billion at the midpoint, up $650 million from its previous guidance, with fourth-quarter net sales expected at about $4.413 billion.
Executive Chairman Dave Cote said in the release that the company is investing ahead of demand. “The companies that will define the digital age are the ones investing ahead of the curve and delivering for customers, and that is what we are doing,” Cote said in the PR Newswire release.
The company generated $794 million in operating cash flow in the quarter and ended it with liquidity of $6.2 billion, according to the release. Vertiv makes power, cooling and IT infrastructure products for data centers, communication networks and industrial facilities, does business in more than 130 countries, and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol VRT.
Vertiv’s management was scheduled to discuss the results on a conference call Wednesday at 11 a.m. Eastern, with a replay available through the investor relations section of the company’s website for 30 days, according to the release.
