LEBANON, Ohio — CoinHub will open its larger Lebanon Coin & Jewelry store on Saturday, Oct. 31, inviting collectors and families from the Cincinnati and Dayton areas to a Halloween grand opening in downtown Lebanon, the company announced in its Oct. 14 release.

The new storefront at 110 S. Broadway St. will introduce in-person coin sales and trading alongside the company’s existing coin-buying services, according to the company’s announcement. The grand opening runs from 1 to 7 p.m. Eastern, with a ribbon cutting at 1 p.m.

Free food through CoinHub’s Skyline Chili collaboration begins at 2 p.m., and free Halloween candy will also be available for children, the company said in its release. The event is open to experienced collectors, people beginning a collection, and neighbors who want to see the new shop.

At approximately five times the size of CoinHub’s current space, the South Broadway location represents a change in the company’s local retail operations, according to the announcement. Its current shop at 27 N. East St. buys coins from customers but does not offer retail coin sales; the new location is being prepared for customers to buy, sell and trade coins in one store.

The company reports more than $10 million in cumulative sales, according to its release. Until the Oct. 31 opening, the East Street shop remains the customer location, and opening-day details and updates are posted by the company online.

For downtown Lebanon, a larger specialty retailer opening on Broadway adds foot traffic on one of the city’s busiest retail weekends, as Halloween crowds and holiday-season shoppers overlap. A buy-sell-trade format also gives Warren County collectors a local counter instead of a trip to Cincinnati or Dayton.

What happens next is Saturday’s opening itself: after the 1 p.m. ribbon cutting, the Broadway store becomes CoinHub’s Lebanon home, and the East Street location’s buying-only role gives way to the full-service shop the company has been preparing.
