Paulding County voters enter the final week of early voting for the Nov. 3 general election, with the Paulding County Board of Elections at 105 East Perry Street in Paulding open for in-person early voting through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the board’s official site on boe.ohio.gov and the Ohio Secretary of State’s early-voting directory.
Early voting in Paulding County runs Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., then Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 28-30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., according to the Paulding County Board of Elections schedule posted on boe.ohio.gov, which matches the statewide schedule published by the Ohio Secretary of State.
Tuesday, Oct. 27 is also a statewide deadline: absentee ballot applications must be received by the board of elections by 8:30 p.m., according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule. Voters who still want to vote by mail need to meet that deadline Tuesday night.
The board is led by Director Rosann Laker and Deputy Director Alyssa Smith, with board members Penny J. Duer, who chairs the board, Patrick A. Miesle, Sherilyn R. Baker and Cheryl A. Stromski listed on the board’s official boe.ohio.gov page. The board can be reached at 419-399-8230.
Early in-person voting in Ohio is cast at the county board of elections, not at a voter’s precinct. Paulding County precinct polling places open only on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, when polls statewide are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the Secretary of State’s schedule.
For voters returning absentee ballots by mail, the ballot must be received by the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 to be counted, according to the Secretary of State. Voters can also return a ballot in person to the board office in Paulding by that deadline.
This is a second-pass update on Paulding County’s election: NewsForce247’s first-pass coverage introduced the county’s Nov. 3 ballot earlier this month. Voters can preview their sample ballot through the Ohio Secretary of State before heading to the board office in Paulding.
