CALDWELL, Ohio — Noble County voters can cast an early in-person ballot for the Nov. 3 general election this week at the Noble County Board of Elections, 140 Courthouse in Caldwell, where early voting runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 23.
Early in-person voting began statewide on Oct. 6 under the Ohio Secretary of State’s schedule. Noble County voters who miss this week’s sessions still have a Saturday option: the board office will be open for early voting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Hours expand in the final week before Election Day. The board will be open Monday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 28 to 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Early voting then wraps up with sessions Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 5 p.m. There is no early voting on Monday, Nov. 2.
Voters who prefer to vote by mail are running up against a deadline: absentee ballot applications must be received by the board of elections by 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Completed absentee ballots must be received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, to be counted.
The board’s regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday. Voters with questions can reach the Noble County Board of Elections at 740-732-2057 or by email at [email protected].
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls across Noble County and Ohio will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters casting a ballot that day must do so at their designated precinct polling place.
Election officials remind voters that Ohio’s voter identification requirements have changed, and they encourage anyone unsure about their registration, polling place or ballot to contact the board before Election Day rather than waiting until Nov. 3.
