A 20-year-old woman has died after a shooting early Sunday, November 1, at a house gathering on Maple Avenue in Norwood, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer, reporting a Norwood Police Department news release and the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.

The Enquirer reported that officers were called to the 1900 block of Maple Avenue after a report of shots fired and found 20-year-old Aaliyah Berry shot. She was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition, the Enquirer reported, and the coroner’s office said she died at the hospital on Monday, November 2.

WKRC reported on November 1 that police were called to 1915 Maple Avenue for a reported drive-by shooting, that one victim was taken to UC Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, and that a second person who was not shot injured themselves while leaving the scene. WKRC reported that police believed the shooting happened at a rental house where about 100 people were gathered.

The two reports agree on the Maple Avenue location, the early-morning November 1 shooting, the victim’s transport to UC Medical Center, and the critical condition first reported that day. No suspect information has been released, and officials have not said what led to the shooting.
