Crawford County voters head to their precinct polling places on Tuesday, Nov. 3, after early in-person voting ended Sunday, Nov. 1. There is no early voting on Monday, Nov. 2, according to the Crawford County Board of Elections, and polls on Election Day will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The board, at 112 E. Mansfield St., Suite A, in Bucyrus, will be in session all day on Election Day, the board said.

Voters who still hold an absentee ballot must get it to the board office by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day for it to count, according to the board. Under Ohio Senate Bill 293, signed in December 2025, non-military absentee ballots no longer have a post-Election Day grace period — they must be received by the close of polls, the board and the Ohio Secretary of State said. A drop box is located at the entrance to the courthouse on North Walnut Street, and drop boxes may only be used by a voter returning their own ballot, according to the board.

In the county’s first-pass election story, NewsForce247 reported that Crawford County voters were weighing school income taxes and local levies on the Nov. 3 ballot. The board’s official issues list for Tuesday includes State Issue 3, the proposed constitutional amendment that would require voters to present photo identification in order to vote, and a City of Bucyrus question asking voters to approve a 0.1 percent income tax levy for four years, beginning Jan. 1, 2027, to operate, maintain and improve city-owned parks — Aumiller Park, Lions Field Park, Harmon Park, Picking Park and the Schines Art Park — including the city swimming pool, according to the board’s issues list.

Township voters also face renewal taxes, including a Bucyrus Township renewal for road improvement and a Chatfield Township renewal on the board’s issues list. Every Crawford County ballot carries the statewide races — governor, attorney general, auditor, secretary of state, treasurer, the two Supreme Court seats and U.S. senator — along with district offices, according to the board.

Absentee ballots began being mailed on Oct. 6, the first day they could be mailed, and early in-person voting ran from Oct. 6 through Nov. 1 at the board office, according to the board. The board has posted a cumulative daily list of absentee and early voters through Oct. 31 on its website for residents who want to see how turnout built through the early window.

What happens next is Election Day itself. Voters in line at their polling place by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday will be able to vote, and the Crawford County Board of Elections will report unofficial results through the evening. NewsForce247 will follow the county’s returns as part of its Election Night coverage.
