PAULDING, Ohio — Paulding County voters have two days of early in-person voting left — today, Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1 — before Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3, according to the Paulding County Board of Elections.
Early voting runs at the board’s office, 105 East Perry Street in Paulding, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today, Oct. 31, and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, the final day of early in-person voting, according to the board’s published schedule. The board is directed by Rosann Laker, with Alyssa Smith as deputy director, and can be reached at 419-399-8230.
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, Paulding County voters cast ballots at their precinct polling places from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., under the Ohio Secretary of State’s statewide voting schedule. Voters can preview what awaits them through the board’s candidates and issues list for the Nov. 3 general election, posted on the board’s website, and through the Secretary of State’s sample-ballot tools at VoteOhio.gov.
Voters who still hold an absentee ballot face a hard deadline this year. Under Senate Bill 293, signed into law by Gov. Mike DeWine in December 2025, absentee ballots must be received by the close of polls on Election Day to be counted, with an exception for military and overseas voters — there is no longer a four-day grace period after Election Day, The Columbus Dispatch reported. Secretary of State Frank LaRose said on Oct. 27 that it might already be too late to drop ballots in the mail and have them arrive by the Election Day deadline, according to Cleveland.com reporting cited by The Columbus Dispatch.
The Dispatch’s county-by-county drop-off list places Paulding County’s ballot drop-off at the board office, 105 E. Perry St., Paulding — the same office hosting early voting — so a voter can hand-deliver a completed absentee ballot there through 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 instead of risking the mail.
What happens next: early voting ends at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1. Polls open across Paulding County at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, and close at 7:30 p.m.; anyone in line at closing time still votes. NewsForce247 will publish Paulding County’s unofficial results after the polls close on Election Night.
