Hamilton County voters are in the final days of early in-person voting for the Nov. 3 general election, with the Board of Elections in Cincinnati open extended hours through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the Hamilton County Board of Elections and the Ohio Secretary of State.

Early in-person voting takes place at the Board of Elections, 4700 Smith Road in Cincinnati. The board’s published calendar lists early voting from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1 — the last day of early in-person voting in Ohio. There is no early in-person voting on Monday, Nov. 2.

Early voting began statewide on Oct. 6. Voters casting an early in-person ballot must present an accepted photo ID, under the Ohio Secretary of State’s voting schedule. Voters who cannot provide an accepted ID may still cast a provisional ballot and have four days after Election Day to present ID at the board office, according to the Hamilton County Board of Elections.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail has passed: applications had to be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 27, according to the board’s election calendar. Voters who already hold an absentee ballot must return it so the board receives it by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3 — under Ohio’s current law, mailed ballots received after the close of polls do not count, except for military and overseas (UOCAVA) ballots covered by the separate federal timeline.

Hamilton County voters who have not yet checked their ballot can view a sample ballot and find their assigned Election Day polling location through the Hamilton County Board of Elections website, VoteHamiltonCountyOhio.gov, or the Ohio Secretary of State’s voter tools. Precinct-level candidates and issues vary across the county, so the sample ballot is the authoritative preview of what each voter will decide.

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls across Hamilton County and Ohio are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., according to the Secretary of State. Voters in line at 7:30 p.m. are permitted to cast a ballot. Preliminary, unofficial results will be posted on the Board of Elections website on election night, with final official results posted two to three weeks after Election Day, according to the board.

NewsForce247 is not reporting a Hamilton County early-turnout total in this update, because neither the county board nor the Secretary of State had published a county figure we could verify at publication time. County-level numbers will be reported when an official source posts them.

What happens next: early in-person voting runs Friday through Sunday at 4700 Smith Road, then Election Day follows on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
